At preschool Sherwood we continue exploring different traditions. Today we introduced a new Indian traditional festival Holi (Festival of Colours) at preschool Sherwood.
It is said that Holi is celebrated to mark friendship and forgiveness. It is celebrated at the end of winter and just at the beginning of spring. Celebrants light bonfires, throw colorful powder called gulal, eat sweets, and dance to traditional folk music.
To celebrate this festival, kids created blow paintings with straws. And we watched videos how they celebrated Holi in India.
