Projekt Vatten på förskolan Robinson

Hela huset jobbar med samma projekt: Vatten. De äldre barnen samtalade om var och när vi upplever vatten. Flera barn tänkte på när det regnar och att det är roligt att plaska i pölar. Vi satte upp olika vattenbilder på avdelningen.

För att barnen ska få förståelse för hur regn uppstår läste vi sagan om ”vattendroppens äventyr”. Vi ritade ett kretslopp för att barnen skulle förstå bättre vad som händer när vattendroppar övergår till ånga och svävar upp till vattenmoln, för att sedan övergå till regn. Vi lät sedan barnen vara delaktiga i att skapa ett eget moln som ska hänga på avdelningen och vi ska även skapa sol och vattendroppar. Vi kommer att gå vidare med att göra experiment med vattenkokare för att synliggöra vattnets olika faser och hur vattnet kan ha olika skepnader. Vi ska tillsammans skapa solen, havet, regndroppen och moln.

The younger children used water to help start green bean seeds in window green houses. The type of bean are called ’Speedy’ – let’s hope they live up to their fantastic name.

First we examined the spray bottle by spraying water on a picture and imitating its sound —Sch! Sch! Sch! We examined the small seeds by shaking the packet, smelling inside the packet and feeling the small seeds in our hands. Even though, several wanted to examine the seeds by tasting them, we are pleased to say that no one did.

Then we hid the dry small seeds in dry household paper. With help from the spray bottle the children wet the paper and placed everything in ziplock bags. Now these bags are on our windows soaking up the sunshine and every day each child will spray water to help their plant grow, and look they do live up to their name – Speedy!

For the past few weeks there has been pictures of different forms of water on the wall. Often throughout the day children point to the different pictures and we imitate to sounds of the water. One of those pictures is a spray bottle — Sch! Sch! Sch! We also talk about where can we find water? In tears, in the sink, in a hose, raindrops, in the ocean. Water can drip and pour. We also collected dripping rain from the roof of the playhouse.
